Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh's Sarbloh Bibek

Today there is much confusion within the Jatha regarding Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh's Rehat. There are many that circulate within the Jatha about Bhai Sahib. One such story states that Bhai Sahib ate from a Hindu Mata who made Daal for him with love. Other stories have also started to circulate where Bhai Sahib ate from people who had Dhills in their Rehat, whether these stories are true only Guru Sahib knows. What we can do is look at Bhai Sahib's own words, and those are plentiful. Here we present from Gurmat Bibek Bhai Sahib's thoughts on eating from Hindus and other Non-Sikhs:

It is clear from this excerpt that Bhai Sahib considered food made by Non-Sikhs as Bhrisht, meaning defiled, polluted and as Fitkaar meaning worthy of cursing. Bhai Sahib considered food made by Non-Sikhs as disgusting food, would he ever eat such food? We leave it up to the readers to decide.

Next comes the point of Sikhs, who may have taken Amrit but their Rehat is not as strong as Bhai Sahib's. Many people say that Bhai Sahib ate from all Amrtidharis regardless of their own personal Rehat, but Bhai Sahib's writings tell a different tale.

The folowing are excerpts from Jail Chittian:

In the above excerpt Bhai Sahib describes his situation in Multan Jail. Bhai Sahib's weight had gone down to 96 pounds and the Medical Officer wanting to help Bhai Sahib asked him who he would be willing to accept milk from, as Bhai Sahib needed milk in his diet to recover his health. The Medical Officer went into the city of Multan and found a Gurdwara Sahib, there he talked to the Singhs asking if anyone of them were Bibeki and could do some Seva for Bhai Randhir Singh. They would need to milk a cow into a Sarbloh Garva and bring it to the jail for Bhai Sahib to drink because he did not drink milk that was milked by non-Bibekis. One Singh spoke up and stated with Guru Sahib's Kirpa he was Tyaar-bar-Tyaar,  but he was not as strict as Bhai Randhir Singh. He stated that for the most part he made his food in Sarbloh but at times when he is travelling for work, it become hard and he would get Dhilla (weak) in his Rehat. However, each time this happened he would do Ardaas asking for forgiveness and do Sudhaee (fix his mistake) every time. But for the most part he was a Tyaar-Bar-Tyaar Sarblohi. The Medical officer came to Bhai Sahib and told him everything, and asked him if he accepted the Rehat of this Singh, Bhai Sahib believing him to be telling the truth accepted. The Medical Officer was extremely pleased. However an officer of the jail created problems and made it hard for Bhai Sahib to meet with the Bibeki Singh and take the milk, and Bhai Sahib would not take the milk if anyone else touched it. The medical officer thought of some contraption to bring the Milk to Bhai Sahib without anyone touching it. Bhai Sahib seeing his pyaar and determination accepted. But alas the other officer made it very difficult for Bhai Sahib to get the milk from outside without it being touched by anyone so Bhai Sahib did not end up getting the milk.

From this incident we see that Bhai Sahib would not even accept milk, that was not milked by a Bibeki Singh. How could Bhai Sahib eat the food made by Non-Bibekis? Bhai Sahib was very strict that he did not even allow anyone to touch the outside of the Garva in which the milk was placed, not even Amritdharis because they were not Bibeki. Bhai Sahib was very strict, even in jail one can only imagine how much stricter he would have been outside of jail.

This excerpt again points out that Bhai Sahib would not eat from any Amridhari in Jail. Bhai Sahib writes that in Rajmandary Jail there was Khalsai Langar. Bhai Sahib would make the Daal in a big Karaahee for everyone and a Nihang Singh Bhai Ganda Singh would make the Parshadai for everyone, but Bhai Sahib would make his own Parshadai afterwords. Bhai Sahib would knead his own flour in a small plate. This is clear now, Bhai Sahib did not eat from other Amritdharis unless their Rehat was strict. One thing to remember is that the Singhs in the jail with Bhai Sahib did a lot of Abhiaas and read a lot of Bani in jail, Bhai Sahib even writes a list of how many Banis the Gursikhs had memorized, but still he did not even from them because their Rehat was lacking. Many times Gursikhs who keep strict Rehat are blackmailed by others saying so and so is a very Chardi Kala Gursikh he does this much Abhiaas and reads this much Bani and you still don't eat from him? We can take Bhai Sahib's example, he was very strict in who he ate from.
